MAYUKINUKO-The professional of silk beauty. The organic cosmetic and silk cocoon products are made from five species of silk cocoons. Product development at J.T. SILK dates back to the silkworm mating in 1905. From this origin, it has passed from one generation to the next.
The special relationship and cooperation between Japan and Thailand has allowed our company to share technical knowledge with the Thai agricultural sector. Since 2001, the president of the company Mr Hiroto Egami, has trained in sericulture rearing techniques to make golden silk cocoons in Thailand and has promoted the integration of Japanese traditional rearing technology with Thai sericulture. In 2007, with the help of well known beauty specialist and cofounder, Miss Thanawaporn Meechai, the company was recognised as the first inventor of cosmetics made from various hybrid golden silk cocoons. At that time, many leading Japanese cosmetics brands became interested in our products. Our company is accepted as the world’s first to produce innovation in cocoon products, changing the cocoon industry by adding value to cocoons beyond that of the textile industry.
MAYUKINUKO is the miracle of silk protein and illustrates the value of using natural ingredients for cosmetics. Silk cocoons contain Sericin, a protein created by silkworms in the production of silk. Sericin comprises 18 different amino acids needed by the skin, making it a remarkable natural human moisturizer for use in makeup. Sericin can effectively control the growth of melanin in the skin to help prevent dehydration. Sericin is anti-ageing, anti-wrinkle, anti-oxidation, has moisture absorbing and desorbing properties, protecting against UV radiation, and promotes skin elasticity.
We carefully selected raw material silk cocoons for more than 10 years while running the business under the brand MAYUKINUKO to produce health and beauty products, including facial, body, and hair care. Every step in our manufacturing is organic. We start by planting mulberry and rearing silkworms at our farm in Chiang Mai, emphasising hand-made production without using chemicals in the process. This ensures our product is safe for the skin and friendly for our planet. Our dedication to hand-made manufacturing and organic products requires a large and highly trained workforce. This allows us to return value to, distribute income in, and help promote our local communities.
Our products are sold across Thailand and exported to foreign countries in Asia and Europe, including Japan. Our service includes both raw materials for OEM (Original Equipment Manufacturer) and finished products under the brand MAYUKINUKO.
